The Land and Dignity Week, which kicked off yesterday with an exhibition at Darat al-Funun and an engaging talk by activist Hanin Zoubi, continues this week with daily activities that include film screenings, seminars, exhibitions in different galleries across town, and a concert on Friday by Tareq Abu Kwaik (El Far3i), Sahar Khalifeh, and Welaat group from Akka.

KazaMada, [translated to: multiple dimensions] is a band made up of independent artists from Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, and Palestine. It mixes Zeid’s advanced electronic sounds with Donia’s deep-rooted Egyptian voice, Mahmoud’s rock guitar vibes, and Tamer’s progressive Oud & Buzuq plucks, with inputs from each of the artists’ diverse musical backgrounds. They’re in Amman this week, performing at the 10th anniversary of the Community Media Network at Zara Expo on Thursday and then at Blue Fig on Saturday.

There’s plenty more; a spanish dance performance, poetry and oud at Cafes des Artistes, concert by the Amman Symphony Orchestra, talk on constitutional monarchy and the 1952 constitution, screenings of French, Serbian, and Italian films, exhibitions, and more. Read on for details.

7iber’s calendar is compiled in collaboration with Waw al Balad Magazine.
