Events in Amman, April 10 – 16 - 7iber

This week is packed with interesting events. TEDxRamallah takes places this Saturday and will be livestreamed in 20 cities, including Amman. Watch it at the Landmark Hotel and enjoy three live local speakers in addition to 20 speakers in Ramallah.

It’s Women’s Football Week, and the first team of FC Bayern Munchen will be in Jordan for two friendly matches against Jordan’s women’s national football team, as well as a day of football training for girls between 12 and 16 years old.

There’s a lot happening in theater, film, and music; the shadow theater performance “Shadows” will be performed at Al-Balad theater for three nights. Sunday and Monday, the Theater Salon presents the Dutch play “45 Minutes to Mary” at the Royal Cultural Center. The US Embassy presents Poetica Musica Chamber Music Ensemble at the Hussein Cultural Center on Wednesday. The French Institute hosts an exhibition, film screening, and theater performance, and the Cervantes Institute hosts a talk on Islam in Latin America and an evening of Spanish storytelling.
