This was taken Thursday night around 2:00 am in the tunnel between 4th circle and abdoun circle. This was at the beginning of the traffic blockage. Cars moved slowly to abdoun circle blocking the whole road, where they found police, and thats when they started dancing all over the bridge. Those who passed to the circle stopped there and did the same.

  • SAD!! and very uncivilized way to represent “loyalty” … I have seen many “loyalist” cars in Jabal Amman Thursday evening as well, people were actually terrified by their shouts, the police was not only silent, they escorted them! this is not acceptable… Mukhabarat really needs to chill the F#$% out!!!!!!!!!! I’M SICK OF THIS RIDICULOUS THING!

الله حيهم الشباب والله الانتماء للبلد وحبها شي لازم يحتفل فيه كل يوم وكل ساعة وكل دقيقة

    • Salameh

    No Class!
    No Manners!
    No Consideration!
    No respect!

    Arab mob rules.

      You are so class !
      You are mannered !
      You are very considerate !
      You do respect !
You should not be an arab.. You are not one of them

  • this is sad.. not because its celebrating.. but because they chose the wrong time, and the wrong place, and they were not stopped..
the Jordanian PM gave places to go to and demonstrate whatever you want to demonstrate.. everyone respected his call but those people.. and they didn’t even give respect to an ambulance trying to get out of the bridge and stayed on the bridge for 20 minutes..
they didn’t demonstrate “wala2” or “entima2” they demonstrated disrespect to Jordan and laws of Jordan and even the government of Jordan..
am a Jordanian who felt sad seeing cars parking horizontally blocking all the other cars.. and felt even sadder when the police did so too..

    • observer

They were not Action .. the were a Reaction..
The other demonstrations did not choose the Right NAME .. TIME .. TERMS ..AND PLACE when they chose al dakhylieh circle .. I am not defending . I RESPECT peoples differences .. we should celebrate our differences…. ..when u look at some as thwara and call others as baltajeh you split our society

  • I don’t think blocking the streets at 2 AM is a good idea by any standard, but lets be careful in WHY we criticize this. We ought to criticize it because a street was blocked impromptu, seemingly randomly.

We ought NOT to criticize this because people are celebrating. We ought NOT to criticize this because people are trying to demonstrate loyalty or whatever it is in their own way — not every time a loyalist does something do we need to say they do not have class, or throw the word “baltaji” at them. Some people have genuinity and class and demonstrate similar loyalism, believe it or not.

Also, its hows how elitist we are when we criticize this by saying “they have no class”. Shame on you.

That said, I do think it should not have happened and the police should have played a more active role in clearing it. (Keep into mind, however, that had this been an opposition dance, then the police clearing it would have been dubbed in international media and in Mujamma3 il Naqabat as oppression of expression). One should be mindful of the sensitivities of all sides.

  • as it turns out, in an interesting twist of events, right under the photographer’s nose i.e under the bridge and in the tunnel, there was a car accident which included a pile up of 9 cars http://bit.ly/h3WbJI , and that was the cause or contributing cause to the traffic jam which 7iber did not report. Please dont be hasty, and quick to judge, and point fingers. I and others rely on 7iber among other websites to keep us up to date on news & events, we’d all appreciate it if u were more thorough next time. http://bit.ly/h3WbJI

That must be a hell of a nose .. I don’t really understand, so these people were like celebrating the 9 cars pile up?? I mean seriously ? what are you trying to say?

  • i didnt know my nose was that big.. i couldnt see that it takes a 9-car accident to block all of abdoun and make it fall in a car jam and lots of people to start dancing and blocking the ambulances.. am cutting my nose off 5alas..

I mean this is getting outta hand…Police should put an end to this and stop watching them do watever they feel like doing. I actually went up to a police and asked him if blocked rear windows are allowed? If people hangin half of their bodies out waving the Jordanian flag is allowed? blocking roads to do some gay moves is allowed? I mean seriously now if that’s the case then leme know so I can organize with a bunch of annoyed loyal citizens to bring order to the streets.
I find some of the “zo3ran” are sticking flags on their cars to get away with things,ie: expired drivers license, speed tickets, etc…
I love my country and I respect it enough to abide by its rules and not the other way around.

note: banzeen ghalee ya jama3a wila the more banzeen u use, the more ‘wala2’ u have?
