Events in Amman, August 14 – 20

الأحد 14 آب 2011

This week’s the Royal Film Commission presents the Arab Film Week – featuring a selection of recently-made Arab narrative feature films from Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and Lebanon.

The Citadel Nights continue every night after Iftar until 2:00 am, with local food, a souk, and live shows of classical Arabic music, all with a breathtaking panoramic view of Amman.

Local stand-up comedy seems to be on the rise, especially this Ramadan, with different cafes and hangouts presenting daily or weekly performances by new Jordanian comedians.

Read on for details on these and other events. And don’t forget to send us photos, videos, or reviews.
