Events in Amman, November 20 – 26

Don’t let the cold and rainy weather keep you home in the evenings, because Amman’s arts and cultural agenda is packed this week, with a little something for everyone.

The Jordan International Theater Festival continues until Thursday, with shows from Kuwait, UAE, Italy, Jordan, Morocco, Iraq, Oman, and Palestine.

You also have a number of interesting independent film screenings followed by discussions with the directors; “The Three Disappearances of Soad Hosni” by director Rania Stephan is screening at Rainbow Theater on Monday, and a number of documentaries and short films by Lebanese director Hadi Zakkak are screening at the Royal Film Commission on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Jazz Nights at Canvas return with the Yacoub Abu Ghosh Quartet, this week featuring guest musicians Tamer Abu Ghazaleh and Mariam Baraka from Egypt.
