Ismailia Film Days & Live Music in Amman

The Royal Film Commission is hosting the 4th edition of the “Ismailia Film Days in Amman” starting this Sunday and continuing until Thursday, with screenings beginning at 7 pm every night. The schedule includes documentaries, short films, and feature films. On Sunday, “Electro Chaabi” a documentary from Egypt and France will be screened; and on Thursday another Egyptian film called “Behind the Mirror” will be featured. On Wednesday, a number of short films will be screened from Romania, France, Colombia, Estonia, and Turkey (with English subtitles). For the full schedule, visit our calendar here.

Another film screening will take place at the Shoman Foundation on Tuesday. “The Kid with a Bike” tells the story of a boy who longs to be reunited with his family. In a random act of kindness, the town hairdresser agrees to foster him on weekends. The film is subtitled in Arabic (6:30 pm).

At the Royal Cultural Center, “Animae Musica: Festival De Musique Sacree” will be featuring live music shows starting on Wednesday until January the 25th. Other music shows this week include “El Morabba3” at Bargo’s on Thursday (9 pm).
