العالم يكرّم معاذ الكساسبة | The World Honours Muath Al-Kasasbeh - 7iber

مع وصول الأخبار المريعة عصر يوم الثلاثاء، عمّ الأردنيين في الأردن وحول العالم الحزن على روح الشهيد معاذ الكساسبة، ذي الستة وعشرين عامًا من عيّ، الكرك.

كأردنيين لم نكن في الأردن حين بلغنا الخبر، شعرنا بحاجة ماسة لتكريم روح معاذ. نُظّمت باسم معاذ وقفات بالشموع، ومظاهرات صامتة وتجمعات للصلاة والدعاء، سواء أمام السفارات الأردنية أو في المساحات العامة أو في متنزهات الجامعات.

في إدنبره باسكتلندا، وقف علي، طالب الحقوق الأردني، وتحدث إلى جمع من الناس قائلًا: “رغم أننا لبعيدون عن الأردن الحبيبة، إلا أن مودة الناس هنا تشعرنا أننا أقرب للوطن. قلوبنا هذا المساء مع أم معاذ وزوجته وكل من أحبه”.

من الكرك إلى بيت لحم إلى بريطانيا إلى كوريا، صوت واحد كان يردد: فلترقد روح النقيب الشجاع معاذ الكساسبة بسلام.

As the terrible news hit the world on Tuesday afternoon, Jordanians in Jordan and all around the world grieved the martyr Muath Al Kasasbeh, a 26-year old from Ai in Karak, Jordan.

As Jordanians who were not in Jordan when the news came, the need was felt to honour the soul of Muath. Candlelight vigils, silent protests and prayer gatherings were arranged in the name of Muath, whether in front of Jordanian embassies, public spaces or university parks.

In Edinburgh, Ali, a Jordanian and a Law student spoke to a gathered crowd and said: “Despite us being far away from our beloved Jordan, the kindness of the people here today brings us closer to home. This evening, our hearts are beating with Muath’s mother, his wife and everyone who loved him”.

From Karak to Bethlehem to the United Kingdom to Korea, one voice was heard saying: Captain Muath Al-Kasasbeh may your courageous soul rest in peace.
