انتقل فريق حبر هذا الأسبوع إلى مكتب جديد في جبل اللويبدة في عمّان بعد أن أكثر من عام ونصف قضيناها في المساحة الرائعة في جبل عمّان والتي أطلقنا عليها اسم «مساحة حبر».
«مساحة حبر» كانت مشروعًا مشتركًا بين حبر وشركة شمس، بدأناه سويّة لتحويل ثلاثة بيوت قديمة على سفح جبل عمّان – كانت تعرف باسم «حارة ملحس» – إلى مساحة مجتمعية تضم مقهى ومكاتب ومساحة للفعاليات وورشات العمل وغيرها. كانت المساحة، باستثناء المقهى، تحت إدارة حبر.
تجربة إدارة المساحة كانت غنية جدًا، تعلّمنا من خلالها الكثير، ونظّمنا أو استضفنا عشرات الفعاليات الثقافية والفنية والتدريبية، ووسّعنا من خلالها دائرة مجتمع حبر. لكننا بعد مضي عام ونصف، وبعد إعادة تقييم استراتيجيتنا وأولوياتنا كمؤسسة، ارتأينا أن نوجّه مواردنا وتركيزنا نحو تخصصنا الأساسي، وهو إنتاج المحتوى كمجلة إلكترونية ومؤسسة إعلامية تسعى لتقديم مواد تفاعلية عميقة وغنية ومفيدة حول الأردن والمنطقة.
إضافة إلى هذا، فإن نمو فريق مجلّة حبر خلال السنتين الماضيتين استدعى الانتقال إلى مكتب أكبر يمكن أن يواكب نمو الفريق وتطوّر عمله، ولهذا فقد انتقلنا إلى مكتب جديد في منطقة جبل اللويبدة التي تشهد نشاطًا فنيًا وثقافيًا حيويًا ومتناميًا.
حبر مستمرة بتنظيم الفعاليات الثقافية والحوارية حول القضايا المختلفة التي تهمّ جمهورها كما عودتكم قبل إدارة المساحة وأثناءها. هذه الفعاليات امتداد لمحتوى المجلة واستمرار للحوار المجتمعي الذي يسعى هذا المحتوى إلى إثارته.
المساحة التي كانت تعرف بـ«مساحة حبر» فوق مقهى «شمس البلد» في جبل عمّان ستستمر بإدارة مؤسسة الحمى كمساحة متاحة لفعاليات وأنشطة مختلفة إضافة إلى مكاتب متاحة للإيجار باسم «مركز الحمى للتراث».

On August 1, 7iber’s team moved to a new office in Jabal Luweibdeh after over a year and a half spent in the beautiful space in Jabal Amman that we called “7iber Space”.
7iber Space was a joint project between 7iber and Shams, the company that runs Shams El-Balad cafe. Together, we turned those three old houses, which overlook the Citadel and old Amman, into a vibrant community space that includes offices, in addition to indoor and outdoor event spaces.
We learned so much from the rich experience of managing the space. We hosted tens of talks, screenings, cultural activities, and training workshops, through which 7iber’s community grew. But after a year and a half, we re-evaluated 7iber’s strategy and priorities as a media organization, and we decided that we want to focus our resources and energy on our core strength, which is producing engaging in-depth content on Jordan and the region.
In addition to that, the growth of 7iber’s team over the past two years called for a bigger office space that can help us focus on our goals and gives us space to continue growing. We’re happy to have found an office in the vibrant Jabal Luweibdeh, home to an ever-growing arts and culture scene.
We are no longer managing a space, but we will not stop organizing events and activities around the content we publish and the issues of interest to our readers. These events will be even more connected to 7iber’s content and a continuation of the conversation it sparks online.
The old “7iber Space”, above Shams El Balad Cafe, remains a community space for offices and events under the name “Al-Hima Heritage Center”, run by Al-Hima.
