الأحد 24 نيسان 2011

This week Al-Balad theater in collaboration with a group of volunteers is screening Arna’s Children, by Juliano Mer Khamis, who was killed in Jenin last week. Proceeds from the screening will go towards continuing Juliano’s work with the Freedom Theater group in Jenin.

This week’s calendar also features two interesting artist talks, one with resident artist Suruq Harb at Makan, who will talk about the project ArTerritories, and the second with artist Ammar Khammash, at Cafes des Artistes.

The Amman Contemporary Dance Festival continues with two performances this week. The Royal Film Commission screens Lebanese film “Malaki” in the presence of the director. And The Jordan Museum hosts an exhibition of crafts by the women of Ruwwad in Jabal Al-Natheef.

And you have more; exhibitions, films, music, and theater. So read on, and enjoy what Amman’s art and culture scene has to offer.
