7iberDotCom - In a story a few weeks ago entitled, A Different Kind of Jihad, 7iber reported that the climber Mostafa Salameh successfully reached Everest on his third attempt and became the first Jordanian to climb Everest and narrowly missing out on becoming the first Arab to climb the mountain. In that article, he discussed how he didn’t feel that the government had recognized his achievement.
On October 6th, His Majesty King Abdullah II rewarded Salameh’s climb by awarding him the First Order Medal of Independence in a festival at the Royal Palace.
7iberDotCom offers our congratulations to Salameh. Read the original article here.
