Today, 7iber is hosting its second workshop and this time the topic if about social networking in Jordan. The idea isn’t to lecture anyone but rather to get people talking and grappling with the questions as they come about, especially given the fact that it is still a relatively new phenomenon in Jordan. Feel free to drop a note during the live blogging and maybe we can voice your opinion during the workshop for all to hear. Please note that the Internet networks today are a bit unstable but we are praying (as of this moment) that they will hang around long enough for us to do some live blogging. If not, we promise a good roundup later on.
Please make sure to refresh the window below every so often to make sure everything is showing up.
I wonder why people join Facebook in Jordan? What motivations do folks have to join a social network?
To stay in touch with friends? To see friends’ pictures?
What is your motivation?

Fantastic post and a great tool for communication. A lot of effort has been put in this reporting and this needs to be appreciated.

Thanks 7iber team for your proactive efforts in hosting the event. It was my first time to participate in such a workshop, there was a lot of topics and ideas to talk about and discuss. I would love to see another one coming soon, please let me know if you need any support.

Hi,
I am based in Dublin, Irland, my team is working on a project with a local organization in Jordan. It will be helpful if we can have more information about networking in Jordan. Any ideas of the best network or data sources providers used by companies to develop their professional network?
Thanks very much for your help
Regards,
Stephanie
