  “بيبي”

 لين فاخوري، 4 دقائق، بالإنكليزية، فيلم متحرك، معهد SAE.

 “بيبي” سيدة عجوز تعيش بمفردها مع قطتها التي هي رفيقتها الوحيدة. بعد سنوات طويلة عاشتها وحيدة تقرر أن تجد الحب الحقيقي مجددا. تجلس طوال اليوم تشاهد التلفزيون باحثة عن الحب بين جدران بيتها المتواضع. 

“Beebi”

Lynn Fakhuri, 4 minutes, English, animation, SAE Institute.

“Beebi” is an old woman living alone with her cat as her sole companion. After years of loneliness, she decides that the time has come to find true love again. She sits alone watching television all day and searches for her love within the walls of her humble house.

“تفاح”

مروان عبيدي، 7 دقائق، بالإنكليزية، روائي، معهد SAE.

تدور القصة حول شاب يقضم تفاحة وهو يمشي في شوارع عمان. يتذكر أن غدا هو اليوم الموعود ليتقدم بخطبة فتاة أحلامه. ولكن عند مروره بأحد الفنادق يدرك أن هذا الغد… لن يأتي.

Marwan Obeidi, 7 minutes, English, fiction, SAE Institute.

A young man strolls around Amman munching on an apple, thinking that tomorrow he is meant to get engaged to the girl of his dreams. As he walks by a hotel, he realizes that this tomorrow…will never come.

“تهجير الشركس”

محمد مريان، 15 دقيقة، بالعربية مع ترجمة للإنكليزية، وثائقي، معهد SAE.

يتناول الفيلم موضوع الثقافة الشركسية التي تأثرت بشكل كبير من جراء هجرة الشركس القسرية ويعرض هذه القضية من خلال مقابلة مع ينال حتك، مدرّب الرقص الفلكلوري في فرقة “الجيل” الشركسية في عمان. ويبين الفيلم وجهات نظر مختلفة حول أهمية المحافظة على التراث والعادات الشركسية.

Mohamed Mrayyan, 15 minutes, Arabic with English subtitles, documentary, SAE Institute.

The film tackles Circassian culture that was greatly affected by the migration of Circassians from their homeland,  through an interview with Yanal Hatk, the dance instructor of “Al Jeel”, a dance group in Amman. The film showcases different views about the importance of the preservation of the Circassian customs and traditions.

“عندما تغرب الشمس”

سلمان عواملة، 18 دقيقة، بالعربية مع ترجمة للإنكليزية، روائي، جامعة اليرموك.

مروان رجل في أواخر عمره يصارع الموت على سريره. وفي لحظاته الأخيرة تدور في خواطره صور وذكريات لمواقف مرت بحياته وأثرت فيه. يسافر مروان في خياله ليتصالح مع جميع أحبائه الذين أساء إليهم في الماضي ولينعم بالطمأنينة والسلام.

Salman Awamleh, 18 minutes, Arabic with English subtitles, fiction, Yarmouk University.

Marwan is an old man on his deathbed; memories of events that greatly impacted his life come flashing by. He strives to come to terms with the loved ones whom he hurt in the past so that he can die in peace.

“سلمى والذئب”

 فادي العمرات، 15 دقيقة، بالعربية، روائي، جامعة اليرموك.

سلمى فتاة في مقتبل العمر تهوى المسرح والفن، تكتشف أنها مصابة بمرض عضال قد يؤثر على مسار حياتها. تحاول النجاح في التغلب على ضعفها وتأثير المرض عليها من خلال حبها للمسرح ومساندة الأصدقاء لها في محنتها.

“Salma and the Wolf”

Fadi Al Amrat, 15 minutes, Arabic, fiction, Yarmouk University.

Salma is a young woman who loves art and theater. She discovers that she is suffering from an incurable disease that will affect her life. Through her love for theater and with her friends’ support she tries to overcome her ordeal.

“شيري”

ريم عمري، 3 دقائق، فيلم متحرك، معهد SAE.

“شري” امرأة في العقد الخامس من العمر تقرر الذهاب إلى السينما وفي طريقها تلتقي بمعجبها الوحيد السيد “اكس” الذي ترفضه رفضا قاطعا. يحاول “اكس” أن يعبر عن حبه لكنها تتركه حزيناً ومكسور القلب. وفي الوقت الذي اعتقدت “شري” أنها تخلصت منه نهائياً تلتقيه صدفة في السينما فتقرر منحه فرصة أخرى.

Reem Omary, 3 minutes, animation, SAE Institute.

“Sheri”, a single woman in her fifties, meets on her way to the cinema her only admirer mister “X” whom she resents no matter how hard he tries. She leaves him sad and heart -broken. She meets him, once again, unexpectedly at the theater and decides to give him another  chance.

“رحلة العشرة دولارات”

محمود الشولي، 4 دقائق، بالإنكليزية، فيلم متحرك، معهد SAE.

“دين” رجل فقير معدم يعيش في الشارع. في أحد الأيام، يجد ورقة نقدية لعشرة دولارات ومفتاحاً في المكان الذي ينام فيه. يتذكر أنه رأى رجل غنيا يعمل في نفس الشارع يحمل هذا المفتاح فيقرر “دين” إعادته لصاحبه آملا الحصول على مكافأة مجزية.

“$10 Trip”

Mahmoud Al Shouli, 4 minutes, English, animation, SAE Institute.

“Den” is homeless, poor and hungry. He comes across a $10 bill and a key on the street. He remembers that he has seen a rich man that works across the street holding this key and decides to return it to him, hoping he will be greatly rewarded.

“خيانة في عيد الميلاد”

إبراهيم القاضي، 15 دقيقة، بالعربية، روائي، جامعة اليرموك.

يتناول الفيلم قضية الشك بين الزوجين وما يترتب عليها من خلافات. فيسلط الضوء على عواقب الشك في إطار درامي بين زوجين شابين وما قد يقترفه الزوج بسبب شكه في زوجته.

“Betrayal on a Birthday”

Ibrahim Al Qady, 15 minutes, Arabic, fiction, Yarmouk University.

The film deals with suspicion in couples and the ensuing conflicts. It tells the story of a young married couple and the man’s deeds out of suspicion and doubt.  

“الإمبراطورية المستعمرة”

عاصم العمري، 14 دقيقة، بالعربية، روائي، جامعة اليرموك.

يتحدث الفيلم عن شاب بائس يستيقظ في صباح أحد الأيام ليكتشف أنه لا يستطيع رؤية وجهه في المرآة معتقدا أنه يمر بحالة نفسية مرضية.

Assem Al Omari, 14 minutes, Arabic, fiction, Yarmouk University.

A miserable young man wakes up one morning discovering that he cannot see the reflection of his own face in the mirror, and thinks that he suffers from a mental problem.

“محمد علي”

عمر عبد النبي، 10 دقائق، بالعربية مع ترجمة للإنكليزية، وثائقي،  ورشة تدريبية في الهيئة الملكية للأفلام.

يوثق الفيلم حياة “محمد علي” وهو مثال حي للشاب الطموح المثابر الذي يكسر أية حواجز تعيق تقدمه ونجاحه. إنه طالب جامعي يعمل في نفس الوقت على عربة لبيع المأكولات ليساعد والده ولا يخجل من عمله. وعلاوة على ذلك،  يعمل محمد علي كمدرس متطوع في مؤسسة “رواد”.

Omar Abdel Nabi, 10 minutes, Arabic with English subtitles, documentary, RFC’s workshop.

The film documents Mohamed Ali’s life, an ideal example of an ambitious young man that overcomes all the barriers that may hinder his success.  He is a university student, sells food on a cart to help his father, and is not ashamed of his job. In addition, he works as a volunteer teacher in “Al Ruwad” institution.
