منذ أن فقدت آثار ثلاثة مستوطنين في الخليل جنوب الضفة الغربية قبل 11 يومًا، تواصل قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي حملة عسكرية هي الأولى في الضفة الغربية منذ نهاية الانتفاضة الثانية من حيث اتساع العمليات وشدتها.
الأعداد غير المسبوقة من الجنود الذين استدعاهم جيش الاحتلال للمشاركة في العملية انتشرت في أنحاء الضفة الغربية، وبالتحديد في موقع الحدث، مدينة الخليل وقراها. إذ أُعلنت الخليل “منطقة عسكرية مغلقة” وفُرض على المحافظة حصار مشدد بمنع الرجال بين 16 و50 سنة من العبور من حاجز وادي النار المعروف بـ”الكونتينر” الذي يفصل كامل جنوب الضفة الغربية عن وسطها، ومنعهم كذلك من السفر خارج فلسطين بالكامل. كما أقيمت في محافظة الخليل ستة حواجز عسكرية مفاجئة أو “طيّارة” وأغلق 22 طريقًا.
هذه التشديدات تسبب بخسائر مالية في المحافظة قُدّرت بعشرة ملايين دولار، بينما خسر العمّال وحدهم قرابة مليوني دولار نتيجة عجزهم عن الوصول إلى أماكن عملهم.
جيش الاحتلال باشر بحثًا مكثفًا عن مفقوديه لم يصل حتى اليوم إلى نتيجة. هذا البحث اتخذ شكل سلسلة واسعة من المداهمات العسكرية الليلية في الأغلب بلغ مجموعها حتى صباح الأحد 22 حزيران 454 مداهمة في مجمل الضفة، اعتقل خلالها 471 فلسطينيًا وفلسطينية.
خلال هذه العمليات والمواجهات التي نتجت عنها، قتلت إسرائيل ستة فلسطينيين، هم أحمد صمادة (20 عامًا) من مخيم الجلزون قرب رام الله، ومحمد دودين (14 عامًا) من بلدة دورا قضاء الخليل، وأحمد خالد (27 عامًا) من مخيم العين قرب نابلس، وجمال صوف (60 عامًا) من قرية حارس قرب نابلس، ومحمود الطريفي (30 عامًا) من رام الله. بينما أعلنت مصادر طبية الموت السريري لمصطفى أصلان (22 عامًا) من مخيم قلنديا قرب رام الله، إلا أن عائلته لم توافق على فصله عن الأجهزة. كما أصيب في العمليات 118 شخصًا، بحسب وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية.

For 11 days now, the city of Hebron south of the West Bank has been under a massive military campaign by the Israeli occupation army in the aftermath of the disappearance of three Israeli settlers there. This campaign is the largest and most aggressive the West Bank has witnessed since the end of the second Intifada.
The occupation army has called up an unprecedented number of reserve forces to participate in the operation across the West Bank, especially in Hebron’s city centre and surrounding villages. Hebron was declared a “closed military zone” and men between the ages of 16 and 50 are not allowed to cross the checkpoint known as the “container”, which separates the entire south of the West Bank from its middle. They’re also prohibited from traveling outside of Palestine. Six new checkpoints have been set up in Hebron, and 22 roads have been blocked.
This siege has caused daily losses estimated at $10 million, and workers alone are losing $2 million due to their inability to reach their workplaces.
Israeli Occupation forces carried out an intensive search for the three missing settlers, raiding homes and businesses across the West Bank. These raids resulted in the arrest of 471 Palestinians and the murder of six so far.
