We are less than a week away from Eid with so many events to attend. Sbace Arabi Exhibition it is an artistic collaboration by two local artists from Amman, Jordan Wize One and Sardine. It will offer a bold fusion of graffiti, illustration and comics (Opening is today from 6:00 – 8:00 PM till October 17th).
Be sure to check out the Art for Gaza exhibition, which continues until Friday at the House of Art, and features work by a talented group of local photographers and artists. All proceeds will go to Gaza through the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.
The Jews of Egypt are the subject of a documentary in two parts that will be screened at the Royal Film Commission (Sunday 28 and Monday 29 of September 2014 at 8:00 PM). The screenings will be followed by a discussion with the director Amir Ramses.
Columbia University’s Middle East Research Center presents a talk titled “The Islamic State: Short-term tactics to face a long-term problem“, by Peter Harling, Middle East special advisor for the International Crisis Group (Monday 29/Spetember at 6:30 PM).
Your kids can also get their share of entertainment with Storytelling for Kids at Shoman’s Knowledge Path Library, organised in cooperation with the British Council Jordan. It targets children from 6 to 12 years of age, and includes storytelling, face painting, and balloon shaping (Thursday October 2, from 4:30 – 6:30 PM).
