In the unique, atmosphere of the Roman Amphitheatre, JOrchestra strings musical talents will perform a rich program ranging from the Cello Concerto by the great master Bach, the notes of the renowned Adagio of Albinoni, the melody of the Simple Symphony by Britten, the rhythm of De Falla’s Danse Espagnole, the well known Holberg suite by Grieg to a composition by conductor Mohammad Sidiq (Saturday, 7:30 pm).
As part of the movie series “Global Music”, Goethe-Institut screens the German documentary “Trip to Asia. The Quest for Harmony”. The film follows the 126 musicians of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in their tour to Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul, Beijing, Tokyo, and Taipei, accompanied by the filmmaker Thomas Grube (Wednesday, 7:00 pm).
Souq el Sodfeh comes back this weekend to Khorda’s graden in Jabal Al Lweibdeh, where you can buy local food products and crafts, and enjoy many activities, such as Shalabiya Al Hakawatiya’s children story-telling session (Saturday, 3:00 – 9:00 pm).
