Editor’s Picks | The Council: A Jordanian Documentary

In this week’s editor’s picks of art and culture events in Amman, 7iber recommends the Jordanian documentary “The Council.
The film screening is organized by The Royal Film Commission, and will be followed by a discussion with the director Yahya Alabdallah and some of the film’s charachers.
The documentary takes place in UNRWA schools of Palestinian refugees, in the Jordanian town of Sokhneh, and moves between the boys’ school and the girls’ school highlighting the experience of electing students’ parliaments there.
The documentary will be screened in Arabic with English subtitles. (Monday, 7:00pm) at the Rainbow Theater.
