Jadal for Knowledge and Culture in collaboration with Laila Khan and Ahmad Awad are glad to invite you to the screening of 6 CUP CHAI, a short film by Laila Khan, followed by a Q&A with the film director and a discussion about child labor in Jordan, the reasons behind it and what can be done to prevent minors from engaging into hard labor.

This is the story of a boy who lives and work as a Tea Seller in Mumbai’s poorest slum, Dharavi. He has one simple wish, to go to school like the other children.
Laila Khan earned a BA in Moving Image at King’s College London and set up her own production company called Brainworks Picture Company. Her short 6 Cup Chai was screened at the Cannes Short Film Corner 2014 and won a Venus de Badalona award for Best Values at the 40th edition of the FILMETS Badalona Film Festival in Spain. She is now working on a documentary set in Jordan.
