Hybris Media is launching it’s discussion series where they will be conducting a solution-oriented conversation from which all results will be published on the Hybris Media website (http://hybrismedia.com/) under our ‘Discussion’ tab for public information.

Their aim is to try and find solutions for different topics or issues that are in need of some spot light.

In honor of women’s month they will be discussing women’s rights and opportunities within the work place or business. Women make up less in economic participation compared to men with the global average of economically active women amounting to 50% where in the Middle East this figure drops to 25.2%. In Jordan itself women only make up of 13% of the labor force in 2015 with women being obligated to retire at 55 compared to men at 60.

The discussion will be a panel discussion with our three panelists. After each panelist, discussions will be opened to the public to discuss and brainstorm for ideas in how to create systemic change.

Panelists:
Rami Al-Karmi
He is the Chairman at F03 Venture Capitalist, a venture capital firm focusing on women entrepreneurs aiming to activate and scale entrepreneurial ecosystems, communities, and ventures across target global and emerging markets.

Rawan Ababneh
She has over 20 years of experience in program management, human rights, grants based programs, human resources development, gender equality, and community empowerment. She is currently a freelance consultant and trainer.

Lama Sha’sha’a
She is a women entrepreneur and the co-founder of IRA (International Robotics Academy) in Amman. They focus on educating children in the field of robotics and technology, taking on a very practical approach on the way the education system is conducted.
