صورة شخصية عن مصور شهير، سيباستياو سالغادو، الذي جال العالم وهو يوثق مصير الناس على سطح المعمورة. وبعد أن شهد صراعات دولية ومجاعات ونزوح، غدا سالغادو منهكا وقرر الشروع في رحلة لاكتشاف المناظر الطبيعية البدائية للنباتات والحيوانات البرية. مشروع التصوير المذهل الذي انتجه في وقت لاحق هو تكريم لجمال كوكبنا.
فاز هذا الفيلم الوثائقي الطويل بالعديد من الجوائز الدولية المرموقة، منها: الجائزة الخاصة في قسم نظرة خاصة في مهرجان كان السينمائي عام 2014، وجائزة سيزار لأفضل فيلم وثائقي في حفل توزيع جوائز سيزار ال40، وجائزة اختيار الجمهور في مهرجان أبو ظبي السينمائي في 2014 وجائزة الجمهور في مهرجان سان سيباستيان السينمائي الدولي في عام 2015. وقد تم ترشيحه لجوائز الأكادمية (أوسكار) لأفضل فيلم وثائقي في حفل توزيع جوائز الأكاديمية السابع والثمانين.

A gripping portrait of the renowned photographer, Sebastião Salgado, who traveled the world documenting the fate of people in a variety of countries. Having witnessed international conflicts, starvation and exodus, Salgado became burnt out, and decided to embark on a journey to discover pristine landscapes of wild flora and fauna. The stunning photography project he subsequently created is a tribute to the beauty of our planet.
This feature-length documentary won several prestigious international awards, including: the Special Prize at Un Certain Regard section at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, the César Award for Best Documentary at the 40th César Awards, the Audience Choice Award at Abu Dhabi Film Festival in 2014 and the Audience Award at San Sebastian International Film Festival in 2015. It was nominated for the Academy Award (Oscar) for Best Documentary at the 87th Academy Awards.
