BIOS:
Lina Ejeilat is co-founder and editor of 7iber
A Jordanian citizen-media platform and multimedia magazine. She received her Masters degree in Journalism/New Media from Columbia University in New York, and her Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan. Lina also teaches Digital Media at the Jordan Media Institute, which offers an M.A in Journalism and New Media. She leads workshops and training programs for journalists on social media and multimedia journalism in Jordan and the region. She previously worked as a reporter with JO Magazine, and Thomson Reuters in Amman.
Ramsey George is a founding member of 7iber
Where he works with online and offline communities around the Middle East to create spaces for critical conversations and community building.
For Ramsey, new media is a powerful way to bring people together (physically and virtually) in order to positively contribute to society.
Living in Amman, Jordan, Ramsey was raised in rural America to a Palestinian mother and an American father. He has a B.S. in rhetoric and communication and an M.S. in technical communication.

7iber works in three areas:
1) They create original informative multimedia content and provide a platform for critical conversation
2) Conduct research on Internet governance and digital rights
3) And operate and run a co-working office, events space
