ضمن سلسلة الجلسات النقاشيّة حول معرض “طقوس الإشارات والتحوّلات (1975 – 1995)”، تقدّم في جلسة “”نحديّات تجربة الفن الفلسطيني المعاصر” الفنانتان الفلسطينيّتان فيرا تماري وسامية حلبي شهادتيهما عن تجربتيهن الشخصيّة وتحديات المشهد الفلسطيني المعاصر، إضافة إلى شهادة للفنان خالد حوراني من الجيل الجديد حول أعماله الفنيّة وعمله كمدير للأكاديميّة الفنيّة الدوليّة في فلسطين.
سامية حلبي
ولدت الفنانة والكاتبة سامية حلبي في القدس العام 1936. وتقتني أعمالها المتاحف والمجموعات الخاصة حول العالم، وأقيمت معارضها الفنيّة الفرديّة في قاعات عرض عربيّة وأوروبيّة وأميركيّة. كما نشرت كتاباً بعنوان “فن التحرير” الذي أفرد له كتابان وعدّة مراجعات نقديّة.
فيرا تماري
ولدت الفنانة فيرا تماري في القدس، وتشمل تخصصاتها مجال الفنون البصرية وتاريخ الفن والعمارة الإسلامية، بالإضافة إلى عملها كمحاضِرة وقيّمة للمعارض الفنية. حصلت تماري على الشهادة الجامعية الأولى في الفنون الجميلة من كلية بيروت للبنات (1966)، وتخصّصت في فن السيراميك من المعهد الوطني لفنون الخزف في مدينة فلورنسا الإيطاليّة (1974)، كما حصلت على شهادة الماجستير في الفن والعمارة الإسلامية من جامعة أكسفورد (1984).
شغرت تماري منصب أستاذة الفن والعمارة الإسلامية وتاريخ الفن في جامعة بيرزيت لأكثر من عقدين، حيث أسست وأدارت متحف المقتنيات التراثية والفنية والموقع الإلكتروني الغاليري الافتراضي (2005 – 2010). كما شاركت في عضوية عدة لجان تحكيم، منها: لجنة تحكيم لمسابقة الفنان الشاب – جائزة حسن حوراني التي تنظمها مؤسسة عبد المحسن القطان، ولجنة تحكيم لمؤسسة آفاق. تساهم تماري في ترويج الفن والثقافة في فلسطين ضمن عملها كمستشارة وعضو فاعل في عدة مجالس لمؤسسات فنية وثقافية. تشغل حاليّاً منصب عضو مجلس إدارة مركز رواق وعضو اللجنة للأكاديمية الدولية للفن – فلسطين.كفنانة، تتخصّص تماري في نحت السيراميك والفن المفاهيمي، وشاركت منذ 1974 وبشكل واسع في العديد من المعارض في فلسطين والعالم العربي وأوروبا واليابان والولايات المتحدة.
خالد حوراني
ولد الفنان خالد حوراني في الخليل العام 1965. ويقيم ويعمل حاليّاً في رام الله. في الأكاديميّة الدوليّة للفن – فلسطين، التي كان أحد المساهمين بتأسيسها، شغر حوراني منصب المدير الفنّي (2007 – 2010)، والمدير العام (2010 – 2013). كما أدار قسم الفنون الجميلة في وزارة الثقافة الفلسطينيّة (2004 – 2006)، وبادر بتأسيس مشروع “بيكاسو في فلسطين” (2011). ومؤخّراً، حصل على جائزة Leonore Anneberg: Creative Time للفن والتغيير الاجتماعي في نيويورك.
The challenges of the Palestinian contemporary art experience

This panel discussion features Vera Tamari and Samia Halaby, who will present their testimony and speak of the challenges faced by the Palestinian contemporary art experience. With the participation of Khalid Hourani, who will speak of his work as an artist from a new generation, and as a director of the International Palestine Art School. The talk will be in Arabic.
Samia A. Halaby
Samia A. Halaby is a painter and writer born in Jerusalem in 1936. Her work is in museum and private collections internationally and her one-artist shows include Arab, European and American Galleries. Halaby authored a book titled the “Liberation Art of Palestine” and is the subject of two monographs and numerous reviews.
Vera Tamari
Born in Jerusalem, Vera Tamari is a visual artist, Islamic art historian, art educator and curator. She received her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from Beirut College for Women in 1966. She specialized in ceramics at the Istituto Statale d’Arte per la Ceramica in Florence, Italy in 1974 and obtained an M. Phil. Degree in Islamic Art and Architecture from the University of Oxford in 1984. She served for more than two decades as professor of Islamic Art and Architecture and Art History at Birzeit University, where she also founded and directed the Virtual Gallery and the Birzeit University Museum between 2005 and 2010. Tamari is actively involved in the promotion of art and culture in Palestine and serves as advisor and member to numerous institutions and cultural boards namely for Riwaq and is a member of the Academic Committee at the International Art Academy –Palestine. As an artist she specializes in ceramic sculpture and conceptual art and has exhibited widely since 1974 in Palestine, the Arab World, Europe, the UK, Japan and the USA.
Khaled Hourani
Khaled Hourani was born in Hebron, Palestine in 1965) and is an artist living and working in Ramallah. He was the Artistic Director 2007-2010 and the Director of the International Academy of Art – Palestine from 2010 to 2013. He previously held the position of General Director of the Fine Arts Department in the Palestinian Ministry of Culture (2004-06). Hourani is the co-founder of the International Academy of Art Palestine in Ramallah and the initiator of the 2011 Picasso in Palestine project. Recently he was awarded the Leonore Annenberg Prize, Creative Time for Art and Social Change in New York City.
