Lives and works between Egypt\, Oman and Spain. In her practice\, Molinos questions the categories that define “innovation” in mainstream discourses today\, exploring the different forms of dominance in the intellectual enquire from the urban to the rural. \nShe employs installation\, photography\, video\, sound and other media to examine the rural realm driven by a strong desire to understand the value and complexity of its cultural production\, as well as the burdens that keeps it invisible and marginalized\, often disregarded as folkloric or mythological. \nThe main focus of her work is contemporary peasantry. Her understating of the figure of the small or medium farmer is not merely as food producer but as cultural agent\, responsible for both perpetuating traditional knowledge and for generating new expertise to meet current challenges. She has produced work reflecting on land usage\, nomad architecture\, farmers strikes\, bureaucracy on territory\, transformation of rural labour\, biotechnology and global food trade. \nAsunción obtained her B.F.A. from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid\, where she also pursued her Master in Contemporary Art Theory and Practice. She has been granted the artist’s residency at the Delfina Foundation\, Darat Al Funun and The Townhouse Gallery. Her work has been shown at venues including Arnolfini Art Centre\, Matadero-Madrid\, La Casa Encendida\, Museo Patio Herreriano\, CAB\, Travesia Cuatro Gallery and La Fábrica. \n URL:https://www.7iber.com/event/artist-talk-by-asuncion-molinos-gordo-the-spring-sessions/ LOCATION:The Studio | الستديو\, Complex No 89\, Prince Mohammad St 89\, Amman \, 11118\, Jordan CATEGORIES:Art |فن,Talks | حوارات ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.7iber.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/spring-sessions-artist-talk-asuncion-molinos-gordo.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Asia/Amman:20150323T190000 DTEND;TZID=Asia/Amman:20150323T190000 DTSTAMP:20240328T163745 CREATED:20150315T114746Z LAST-MODIFIED:20150315T122632Z UID:40513-1427137200-1427137200@www.7iber.com SUMMARY:أسبوع حاصر حصارك | Israeli Apartheid Week DESCRIPTION:حاصر حصارك “الأسبوع العالمي لمقاومة الإستعمار والفصل العنصري الصهيوني” \nأهم حدث عالمي في أجندة حركة التضامن العالمية مع فلسطين، سيتم اقامته في عمان اضافة لأكثر من 100 مدينة حول العالم. \nفعاليات اليوم للأسبوع: \n7:00 مساءً\nندوة عن حملة “معبر آمن” عن مخيم اليرموك، يليها عرض فيلم “لا سبيل للعودة الآن يا صديقي” \n \nTrailer "We cannot go there now\, my dear" from Forward Film Production on Vimeo. \n \nThe Royal Film Commission – Jordan in cooperation with The British Council invites you to attend the 2nd edition of “Sheffield Film Days in Amman” in the presence of the Sheffield Doc/Fest representative\, Sylvia Wroblewska. \nThe Internet’s Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz(2014)\nBrian Knappenberger\, 105 min\, Documentary\, English with Arabic subtitles\, United States. \n What’s most inspiring about Aaron Swartz was not that he could read by the age of three\, or was one of the Internet’s most gifted pioneers as a young teenager. No\, what’s most inspiring about Swartz was when so many internet entrepreneurs were trying to get rich quick\, he was absolutely determined to use his intellect to make the world a better place\, by increasing access to knowledge. \nSwartz was a connector whose prescient vision was at fatal odds with a U.S. legal system still operating in the dinosaur age. A year on from Swartz’s suicide\, the loss of a digital giant is still painful. \n URL:https://www.7iber.com/event/sheffield-film-days-2015-rfc-2015-03-23/ LOCATION:Royal Film Commission | الهيئة الملكية للأفلام\, Jebel Amman\, 1st Circle\, 5 Omar Bin Al Khattab Street\, Amman \, Jordan CATEGORIES:Film| أفلام ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.7iber.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/مهرجان-شيفيلد.jpg END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
