مع ذوبان الثلج في مرتفعات الأردن، ظهرت سجادة خضراء كشفت الكثير من الجمال الذي كان مخبأً، وأزهرت لتنتج مهرجانًا من الألوان وجمال الطبيعة.
يحظى الأردن بتنوع بيئي واسع، فموقعه الجغرافي والبيئات المختلفة فيه تسمح بوجود كائنات متعددة من المملكتين الحيوانية والنباتية في مساحة صغيرة نسبيًا. وكل ما يحتاجه ساكن عمان هو أن يقود سيارته إلى أطراف المدينة أو أبعد قليلًا ليشهد ألوان الربيع المذهلة.
أحد أجمل هذه الأماكن هو وادي شعيب الذي يمكن الوصول إليه عبر دابوق ثم ماحص. مناطق أخرى حول ناعور ويرقة مع جبال جلعاد هي مع غيرها موطن الزهرة الوطنية للأردن: السوسنة السوداء. عراق الأمير ووادي الشتا هي كذلك مواقع جميلة تجدر زيارتها. وأحد أفضل الأماكن الممكن زيارتها للاستمتاع بالربيع هو الرمان، حيث تعمل الحديقة النباتية الملكية على الحفاظ على بعض أشد النباتات البرية روعة.
لمن يبحث عن أزهار الأوركيد البرية، كل ما عليكم فعله هو الذهاب في رحلة تستغرق 30 دقيقة إلى دبّين وجرش، حيث سترون جمال أنواع متعددة منها. محمية عجلون الطبيعية تحوي العديد منها كذلك. لم نعد نستطيع العثور على سوسنة الناصرة، الأشد روعة بين الأوركيدات كلها، التي قد تكون انقرضت نتيجة البناء والاستثمار في مناطق متاخمة لمحمية دبّين.
ليس للحديث نهاية، ففي الأردن الكثير مما تجدر رؤيته. لأشارككم بعض هذا الفيض من الجمال الطبيعي، هاكم لمحة منه في هذه الصور.

As the snow started to melt in Jordan’s highlands; a green carpet appeared revealing much hidden beauty and, eventually, blossomed into a festival of colours and natural beauty.
Jordan is blessed with so much biodiversity. Its geographic location in addition to the different habitats it enjoys; means that different types of fauna and flora flourish in its relatively small landscape. All what an Amman dweller needs to do is to drive around the city or a bit beyond to witness the magnificent colours of spring.
One beautiful place is Wadi Shouib that can be accessed through Dabouq then to Mahes. Areas surrounding Naour and Yarqa together with the hills of Jala’ad are, amongst other locations are home to Jordan’s national flower: the black Iris. Iraq Al Amir and Wadi Al Shita are beautiful locations to visit. One of the best locations to enjoy spring is Al Rumman where the Royal Botanic Garden is preserving some of the most magnificent wild plants.
As for those seeking the beauty of wild Orchids; all they need to do is take a 30 minute drive to Dibbeen and Jerash were they can witness the beauty of various types. The Ajloun nature reserve is a home of a few as well. I no longer find the Nazareth Iris, the most magnificent of all that might have got extinct due to buildings and investments in areas adjacent to the Dibbeen reserve.
If I go on, I will never stop because there is so much that Jordan has to offer. To share with you this abundant natural beauty, here is glimpse of it, photographed.
