Talks, Films, Arab Indie Bands, and More In Amman This Week

This week, Jadal for Culture will be hosting X-Talk #15 by Mohamed Elshahed, founder and editor of Cairobserver. . In this talk, Mohamed will provide a brief background on publishing architecture in Egypt, present the Cairobserver project (online and in print) and make the case for establishing such platforms in cities across a rapidly transforming Middle East. (Wednesday, 7:30pm).

Also at Jadal, the Neo-Sufi band Random House ft. SemaZen will be performing some of their new pieces from their upcoming album. Ticket: 7 JOD. (Thursday, 7:00 pm).

As a part of Knowledge Path summer club’s activities, the Children Cinema at Shoman Foundations will be screening «The Chronicles of Narina». Four kids travel through a wardrobe to the land of Narnia and learn of their destiny to free it with the guidance of a mystical lion. (Thursday, 5:00 pm).

Bala Feesh will present El-Morabba3 and Who Killed Bruce Lee at Kharabeesh’s new space at the King Hussein Business Park (Saturday, 8:00 pm)

Once again, The Farmer’s market is organizing an organic vegetarian dinner with fresh and healthy ingredients, come and enjoy the tasty and healthy food in the beautiful atmosphere of Fann wa Chai. (Saturday, 7:00pm).
