للسنة الثالثة على التوالي، تم اختيار “حبر” ضمن القائمة النهائية للمرشحين لجائزة دويتشة فيله لأفضل المدونات “البوبز” في فئة أفضل مدونة عربية.
بحسب موقع الجائزة، فهي تمنح للمواقع التي تدعم حرية الرأي وتفتح مجالاً للنقاش عبر الإنترنت في إحدى عشرة لغة. انطلقت هذه المسابقة عام ٢٠٠٤ لدعم هذا الهدف، ولدعم أشكال الاتصال المختلفة في الشبكة العنكبوتية ولدفع المواقع التي تدعم هذا الشيء بأسلوب مميز ولدعم الحوار الذي يتخطى حدود اللغات ووسائل الإعلام التقليدية.
“حبر” هو الموقع الوحيد الذي تم اختياره من الأردن، ونحن سعداء وفخورون بترشيحه إلى جانب مجموعة متميزة من المدونات والمواقع العربية مثل انتفاضة المرأة في العالم العربي، ومامفاكينش من المغرب، و”قرأت لك” من الجزائر، وأخرى من السعودية وموريتانيا ومصر وفلسطين وسوريا والصومال.
في العام الماضي ترشح حبر في فئتين، أفضل مدونة عربية وأفضل مدونة في مجال التعليم والثقافة، والتي كانت فئة خاصة استحدثت في تلك الدورة وحصلنا فيها على المركز الثالث.
منذ انطلاق حبر في عام ٢٠٠٧، سعينا ونسعى لخلق مساحة للحوار البناء النقدي حول القضايا التي تهم بلدنا، وإنتاج محتوى تفاعلي ذو قيمة معلوماتية. كما ننظم ورش عمل ودورات تدريبية ومشاريع بحثية في مجال الإعلام الرقمي وحوكمة الإنترنت، ونجمع الناس معاً في نشاطات مجتمعية.
لم يكن حبر ليصل إلى ما هو عليه لولا الدعم الرائع من مشاركيه وكتّابه وقرائه وكل من يساهم بشكل أو بآخر بنشاطاته المختلفة سواء على الإنترنت أو على الأرض، ونحن ممتنون لكل فرد منهم.

For the third year in a row, 7iber has made it to the final list of nominations for Deutsche Welle’s Best of Online Activism Awards (The BOBs), in the category of Best Arabic Blog.
According to the BOBS website, the award honors “websites in 14 languages that champion the open exchange of ideas and freedom of expression. When the annual awards launched in 2004, blogs were just beginning to establish themselves as a new type of media and the Bobs aimed to show that this new form of communication was worthy of being taken seriously and to point to the excellent example of work being done online to foster dialogue across language barriers.”
7iber is only website selected from Jordan, and we’re very honored to be nominated alongside an inspiring group of Arab blogs and websites, such as Women’s Uprising in the Arab World, and Mamfakinch from Morocco, and others from Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Palestine, Mauritania, Syria, and Somalia.
Last year 7iber was nominated in two categories; best Arabic blog, and best blog in education and culture. The latter was a special award presented last year and 7iber came in third place.
Since 7iber’s launch in 2007, we’ve worked to create a space for critical and constructive debate on important local issues, and to produce engaging and informative multimedia content. We also organize workshops and trainings and conduct research in the area of digital media and internet governance, and bring people together through various community activities.
7iber would’ve never gotten to where it is today had it not been for the fantastic support of a community of contributors, readers, commenters, and participants in our different activities online and offline. We are thankful to each and every one of them.
