*مركز تمكين وجدل للمعرفة والثقافة يدعوكم لحضور المعرض الفوتوغرافي للمصورة نادية بسيسو تحت عنوان “نساء مهمشات” – عاملات المنازل في الأردن . يأتي هذا المعرض في إطار دراسة قام بها مركز تمكين لبحث أوضاع عاملات المنازل في الأردن .
يسلط هذا المعرض الضوء على فئة من السيدات المنسيات في مجتمعنا إذ الكثيرون لا يروهم سوى مجرد عاملات في المنازل أو مصانع الملابس لذا تهمل حياتهن الشخصية وقصصهن وحقوقهن. وعادة تنطفئ طموحات العاملات المهاجرات في جزء من الروتين اليومي من التنظيف والطهي ورعاية أطفال الآخرين. أما العاملات في مجال صناعة الملابس فتسابقن الزمن على مدار الساعة لإنهاء المهمات المطلوبة في مواعيدها و لإتمام خياطة الملابس لمحلات العلامات التجارية المشهورة التي لا يستطعن شراءها.
العديد من العاملات المهاجرات يشعرن بالعزلة. خاصة في مواجهتهم لساعات العمل المتواصل، والتأخير في دفع الأجور أو عدمه والقيود المفروضة على حرية التنقل، ومصادرة جوازات السفر. الكثيرون يتجاهلون أن هؤلاء العاملات هم أمهات ضحين بأحلامهم الخاصة كي يتمكن أطفالهن أن يتعلموا ويعيشوا في أمان تحت سقف ثابت. ونتيجة لذلك، يجد الأطفال أنفسهم بعد أن يكبروا محرومين من وجود أمهاتهم.

Tamkeen Centre* and Jadal for Knowledge and Culture are pleased to invite you to the exhibition “Invisible Women” by the photographer Nadia Bseiso, which is part of a research conducted by Tamkeen on the situation of domestic workers in Jordan.
Seen by others as mere workers, light is seldom shed on the personal lives and stories of women migrant workers. The majority of women migrant workers in Jordan are domestic and garment workers. The ambitions of domestic workers are usually extinguished in a daily routine of cleaning, cooking, and taking care of other people’s children. Garment workers, on the other hand, race the clock for long hours to meet deadlines, sewing brand clothing for shops they cannot afford.
Many women migrant workers feel isolated. They face excessive working hours, delays and non-payment of salaries, restrictions on freedom of movement, and confiscations of passports. Mothers sacrifice their own dreams so that their children can have the luxury of education and the security of living under a steady roof. Consequently, the children find themselves having to grow up deprived of the presence of their mothers.
