ملح هذا البحر

يعرض فيلم «ملح هذا البحر» (2008، إخراج: آن ماري جاسر) الذي يحكي قصّة ثريّا التي تعود من أميركا للحصول على ميراث جدها الفلسطينيّ الموجود في البنك البريطاني قبل نكبة 1948. محقّقة حلمها في «العودة»، لكن في نفس الوقت تكتشف حقيقة الواقع عبر صداقتها مع عماد الفلسطيني الذي يخطّط لمغادرة فلسطين إلى الأبد.

Salt of this Sea

‘Salt of this Sea’ (2008, Dir: Annemarie Jacir) tells the story of Soraya, who leaves America to recover her grandfather’s savings that were frozen when he was exiled in 1948. She fulfills her life-long dream of “returning” to Palestine, but slowly discovers the reality around her through her friendship with Emad, a Palestinian whose ambition is to leave forever.
