Live Music, Film Screening, and Amman Eid Festival

الأحد 04 آب 2013

It’s the last few days of Ramadan and Eid is just around the corner, but there are still a few cultural events taking place around Amman.

Tonight, Bala Feesh hosts Egyptian singer/songwriter Maryam Saleh, and Palestinian musician Tamer Abu Ghazaleh with his band, with a guest appearance by Iraqi oud player Khyam Allami. The show is free but seats are limited so you need to send an email to make reservations (email [email protected] with your number). (Sunday at 9:30 pm)

Bala Feesh is a monthly series of intimate live shows featuring independent musicians in the Arab world, caught on tape. (See their page for more info and updates facebook/balafeesh).

This week Rainbow Theater presents screenings of the award-winning Palestinian/Jordanian film “When I Saw You” by Annemarie Jacir. (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, at 9:30 pm).

On the 3rd day of Eid, the Roman Amphitheater will host the Amman Eid Festival, featuring Hani Mitwasi, Autostrad, Jadal, and American comedian Brett Werr. (Tickets are JD20, details here)
