قرر مجلس التعليم العالي في جلسته التي عقدها السبت ١٦ تشرين ثاني ٢٠١٣ إعادة تشكيل مجالس أمناء الجامعات الخاصة، التي تتألف من ١٤ عضواً إضافة إلى رئيس المجلس. وجاءت تشكيلة ستة مجالس خالية تماماً من النساء، فيما ضمّت ستة أخرى امرأة واحدة فقط، وضمت جامعة فيلادلفيا في مجلس أمنائها سيدتين إضافة لرئيسة المجلس ليلى شرف.

Jordan’s Higher Education Council announced on Saturday the appointment of new boards of trustees for 13 private universities, which include 14 members in addition to the president of the board. Six of these boards did not include a single woman, six of them included only one, while Philadelphia University’s board of trustees topped the list with two female members in addition to the president of the board, Laila Sharaf.
