About the class:

In this class you will learn how to let go and express yourself. By learning to connect with the floor you will explore how to move in ways that are unique to you and your body. You will get a chance to create your own work and experience what its like to perform in front of others. By doing this you will discover something new and exciting inside yourself that will change you.

Contemporary dance is a free and expressive form of dance, suitable for absolute beginners who are looking for an introduction to basic dance technique or for experienced dancers who are looking to push new boundaries of body movement.

Contemporary Dance Amman is an initiative started by Shireen Talhouni to promote contemporary dance in Amman, Jordan. Its main aim is to assist in the development of a community of dance artists in the city primarily through the delivery of taught classes and workshops, secondly by inviting guest artists to share their knowledge, and finally by performing.
