سيقدم د. منصور السياق التاريخي لعملية الخصخصة في الأردن ويعرض المشاكل التي بسسبها قرر الأردن الخوض في هذا الطريق بالإضافة إلى الدروس المتعلمة من عملية الخصخصة والمشاريع الناجحة والفاشلة. كما سيشرح د. منصور كيف تم استخدام عوائد الخصخصة ويعطي لمحة عن كيف أثر تطور الخصخصة على اقتصاد الأردن والمواطن العادي.
د. يوسف منصور صاحب خبرة تزيد عن ثلاثين عاما في إصلاح الاقتصاد الكلي والجزئي ودراسات وأبحاث القدرة التنافسية. بالإضافة إلى ذلك لدى د. منصور خبرة في الأمور التنافسية والتنظيمية، تشجيع الاستثمار، التطوير الاقتصادي والتنمية الاقتصادية، السياسة الصناعية، إصلاح القطاع العام وبناء القدرات، ريادة الاعمال، الابتكار والصناعات الإبداعية.
هذه الفعالية هي جزء من سلسلة فعاليات تناقش مواضيع مستلهمة من مشروع شيكاغو بويز في عمان. شيكاغو بويز بقيادة (هيوا ك) هي فرقة موسيقية تعيد احياء موسيقى السبعينات والثمنينات ومجموعة حوارية تتناول مواضيع النيوليبرالية. منذ أربع أسابيع والفرقة تقوم بتدريباتها في عمان وستنتقل يوم السبت 29 ديسمبر للعزف في مساحة حبر في جبل عمان (كافيه شمس البلد).
الفعالية السابقة في هذه السلسلة كانت حديث مع ثريا الريس في مساحة مكان وموضوعها العمالة المهاجرة في الأردن، تلتها زيارة الفرقة إلى مركز العمال في مدينة الحسن الصناعية للعزف مع مجموعة من العاملين الموسيقيين من مدغشقر.
Privatization in Jordan
A talk by Dr. Yusuf Mansur.
Dr. Mansur will walk us through the historical context of the privatization process in Jordan; why did we venture down this road and what were the lessons learnt? Which projects were successful and which failed? Dr. Mansur will also explain the use of the funds pertaining to privatized industries and touch on how the progression of privatization in the country affected the economy and the ordinary citizen.
Dr. Yusuf Mansur is an expert with over 30 years of demonstrated expertise in micro and macroeconomic reform, and competitiveness studies and research. In addition he has expertise in competition/regulatory issues, investment promotion, industrial upgrading and development, industrial policy, public sector reform and capacity building, entrepreneurship, innovation and creative industries.
This talk is part of a parallel program engaged with the Chicago Boys project in Amman. Chicago Boys is a 70s/80s music revival band and informal neoliberalism study group. The band has been rehearsing in Amman for 4 weeks and will hold a rehearsal at 7iber’s location in Jabal Amman on Saturday 29 November(Sham Al-Balad Cafe).
The previous talk in this program was with Thoraya El-Rayyes on migrant workers in Jordan, held at Makan Art Space, followed by a jamming session at Al Hussein Workers Center with musician workers from Madagascar.
